Communication Arts Awards 2025 - Unpublished Category
In January 2024, I paid particular attention to the shadows in the heavy snowbanks of Montreal. They were never a dull, dark colour. In fact, they were always heavily saturated tones of sapphire blues and peachy oranges. This piece started as a study, and eventually became emblematic of my artistic mission to create calm spaces for peaceful playtime. In our age of political divisiveness and chaos, keen observation and curiosity for the beauty all around us is a grounding act of mindfulness. I hope this piece inspires others to also breathe in the ephemeral, and remember that there is already so much worth thriving for.
